RECOMMENDED DU'A (SUPPLICATIONS)

17. Du’a of the Childless

Transliteration:

     Rabbi laa tazarni fardan, wa anta kharirul waa rithin.

Translation:

     Leave me not alone, Lord, You are the Best of heirs.

18. Du’a for the Family

Transliteration:

     Rabbanaa hablanaa min azwaajinaa wa zuri-yaatinaa qur-rata ‘aiyunin waj alnaa lil mut-taqina imaama.

Translation:

     Lord, grant us in our spouses and of our offspring the delight of our eyes, and make us a model for the righteous.

19. Du’a for the Good of this World and the Hereafter

Transliteration:

    Rabbanaa aatinaa fid-dunyaa hasanatan wa fil akhirati hasanatan, wa qinaa ‘azaaban-naar.

Translation:

     Lord, grant us the best in this world and the best in the hereafter, and save us from the torment of the Fire.

20. Du’a for Sustenance

Transliteration:

     Allahum-ma rabbanaa anzil ‘alainaa maa idatam-minas-sumaa-I taqunu lanaa ‘indal-liaw-walinaa wa aakhirinaa wa aayatam-mink war zuqnaa wa anta khairur-raaziqin.

Translation:

     O Allah, our Lord, send down to us food from heaven which should be to us an ever-recurring happiness to the first of us and the last of us, and a sign from You, and give us sustenance and You are the Best of the sustainers.
